Illness in rainy season

In the rainy season, just like the wetlands outside are swampy, the body also gets cold and increase in amount of water. It causes loss of appetite, diarrhea, gases, stomach ache, cold, cough, fever, earache, worms and epidemics. Eating roasted hot food and drinking hot water is actually the key to preventing these diseases. But on the contrary, when it rains, food like Bhaji Vade Pav Misal Samosa is in vogue. Cereals are eaten. As a result Stomach get distrub.For this, drink hot water by adding coriander, ginger, asafoetida ghee, roasted ova fennel, hot fonentation, Coriander, Cumin, Asafoetida, Garlic, Ova, BuddySounf, Mint, ginger, cilantro, curry leaves, garlic chutney should be eaten. Langhana I e. Fasting or light food is recommended. If you are hungry, eat lahya( rice puffs) roasted on ghee, add saindhav in it. If you have a good appetite, eat hot rice muga khichdi.For cold, cough, sore and earache, warm a cloth on a tawa and apply on forehead, ears and face. I.e. hot fomentation. Paste of Ginger Vekhand Chandan Kapoor should be applied on forehead. Add ginger turmeric and drink boiled milk. By adding basil, ginger etc. drink this herbal tea with jaggery. For cough, drink decoction of jeshthamadh, badisounf, granulated sugar, black resins. Drinking water should be hot. If you do not feel well with this first aid, consult a Vaidya.
